v1.7.0 - November 1, 2026
Browser Keys, a Lighter Command Panel, Simpler Settings
Release Notes
Coming soon - not yet released on GitHub
SupaSidebar 1.7.0 adds browser keys for ⌘T, ⌘N and ⌘L, a lighter Command Panel in your Space's color, and simpler Settings.
What's New
- Browser Keys Page - Turn ⌘T, ⌘N, ⌘L and ⌃Tab on separately in Settings > Browsers > Browser keys.
- Edit the Address With ⌘L - Turn on ⌘L to edit the page's address in the Command Panel, and Return loads it in the same tab.
- Command Panel in Your Space Color - The Command Panel takes your current Space's color, with a Tint with Space color switch to turn it off.
- Live Tabs in One List - A new Live Tabs setting shows all your open tabs in one list, without browser and window headers.
- Browser Setup in Onboarding - New users can pick their browsers, turn on browser keys and try SupaView for links during setup.
Improvements
- A Lighter Command Panel - One-line rows now show six results at a time, under a bigger search field.
- Edit a Result Before Opening It - Pressing ↓ puts the selected result's address in the search field, ready to edit, like Chrome.
- Web Suggestions Among Your Results - Google suggestions and past searches now sit with your other results instead of in a separate area.
- Tab Into History or a Site - Type a word like "hist" or "reddit" and press Tab to search History or that site.
- Recent Is Now History - The Recent scope is renamed History, and the scope bar stays hidden until you press Tab.
- Your Top Settings in an Empty Panel - With nothing typed, the panel lists your 5 most-used settings and Talk to Founder instead of every command.
- Footer Keys Match the Selected Row - The footer now shows what ↩, SupaView and Open with do for the row you're on.
- One Row per Site - Typing a site's name now shows a single row for it, and repeated History visits show once.
- ⌘N Opens a New Window - Pages and searches picked after ⌘N now open in a new browser window instead of a new tab.
- Simpler Settings - Settings now has a Browsers section and fewer pages, with Mouse Triggers under Sidebar and Backups under Data.
- Choose Which Browsers to Use - The browser table's Block column is now Use, so you tick the browsers SupaSidebar works with.
Bug Fixes
- The Tab Switcher now shows a site's icon instead of stretching square logos like LinkedIn's or Instagram's.
- Tab Switcher previews that failed while offline now load again once you're back online, without a restart.
- The Tab Switcher now lists your recent tabs right after launch, even before you open the sidebar.
- Labs, Archived Tabs, Tab Switcher and SupaView sign-in screens now show in your language instead of English.
Performance
- Faster Command Panel Typing - Keys no longer pile up while you type, a lag that could reach 1.5 seconds before.
- No Pause on the First ⌘ Key - The first ⌘ shortcut you press in the Command Panel after launch no longer stalls.
