Frequently asked questions

How do I export my tabs from OneTab?

Open the OneTab page in your browser, click Options (top right), choose "Export / Import URLs", and copy the whole text list. Paste it into the box above and you'll get standard bookmarks back.

Why can't I just import OneTab's export into my browser?

OneTab exports a plain text list of "URL | title" lines - no browser accepts that format. This tool converts it into the bookmarks HTML format every browser understands.

Do my OneTab groups stay grouped?

Yes. Each tab group becomes its own bookmark folder, keeping the group name if you gave it one, so your organization survives the move.

Is my tab list uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser - your list never leaves your machine.

Can I get a spreadsheet instead of bookmarks?

Yes. Alongside the bookmarks HTML you can download a CSV with a row per link (group, title, URL) - handy for auditing years of saved tabs before importing them anywhere.
